Networking Tricks to Land your Favourite JOB
Please pay special attention to what I have in store for you, if you’re an introvert, meaning if you’re someone who tends to be more reserved and prefers spending time alone or with a small group of close friends, rather than large groups of people. As this might not only help you to land a job but also to get you out of your comfort zone and hone your skill and confidence to talk to people and aggrandize your social circle by building long-lasting relationships with them.
So, let’s talk about the 3 P’s of networking “Purpose, People, and Pursue”. This has helped me find my first internship as a grad student and also my first job as a fresher straight out of school. Let’s talk about each of them in detail and list down the action items you need to work on, to follow each of these steps effectively.
Step #1: Purpose
It’s important to know why you’re networking and what you hope to accomplish. Are you looking for a new job? Trying to expand your business? Whatever your goal may be, having a clear purpose will help guide your networking efforts and make them more effective.
Action Item: Get “an elevator pitch” ready
